An Unwanted Vacation (RP)

Amber: Well maybe next time you shouldn't handle interrogations.

Jacob: I'll make note of that....thank you. That's two I owe you now.

Amber: Yeah...*walks away*

Jacob: *Slowly gets up.*

A soldier jumps from behind the wall and jabs his knife inside Amber.

Jacob: !! *Leaps towards him and smashes his face against the floor.*

Amber: Gah...*falls down*

Jacob: Son of a bitch...*Gets up and kicks the soldier one last time before helping Amber up.* I've got you, Amber. I don't have much energy left, but I can use it to heal that wound...

Amber: Thanks. *yanks the knife out*

Jacob: *Places his hand on Amber's wound. He starts transmitting his energy to it.*

Amber: *feels the energy* Mmm...so warm.

Jacob: *Chuckles.* Hah, one of the perks of being part-phoenix...its like a soothing flame, only it doesn't hurt.

Amber: Part-Phoenix huh?

Jacob: Yeah...although it wasn't through birth...*Removes his hand and looks at Amber's healed wound.*

Bianca: If you two are done discussing birth we should get moving.

Amber: Y-yeah.

Jacob: *Slowly walks with Amber and Bianca.*

Elsewhere....

Kiln: *Is watching them through a camera.* Looks like they are doing all right...

Dimas: They hurt mom...and that person she's with....that must be dad...

Kiln: You can see them later, Dimas. We still have to track down that bastard, Edgar.

Soldiers: Stop right there, Kiln!

Kiln:....I do believe you know what to do, Dimas.

Dimas: *Glares at the soldiers. He lets out a yell as he grapples each soldier and slams them through the wall.*

Kiln: *Takes one of the soldier's rifle and knife. They reach a large steel door.* This has to be where Edgar fled....even I'm not sure what awaits us.

Dimas: *Forces the door open with his hands.*

Amber: So...where to go now.

Bianca: Wherever Edgar is hiding.

Jacob: This will all be over soon...

*Kiln.*

Kiln: *Both him and Dimas step forward. The door behind them closes. They spot a ladder and climb down. The area is suddenly illuminated with lights, which reveals a large lair.* Pfft, you want us to play hide and seek, Edgar? Fine by us! We'll play your little game!

Edgar: Hide and seek? Nononono, I don't like that game....I prefer cat and mouse!!

A large door across from Kiln and Dimas starts to slowly open.

Amber: Yeah, except...*looks at Hira* You're not touching the DRM.

Jacob: !....No need to worry. That bastard is drained too.

*Kiln.*

*An eighteen feet bipedal tank walks in. Inside the cockpit...*

Edgar: Heheh....*Grabs a controller that oddly resembles a game controller.* You aren't the only one who has undergoing projects, Brainiac. Meet my finest piece of work yet!

Kiln: Bastard...you sure you didn't steal that?

Edgar: I wouldn't be worrying about that. Let's see what your little kid has against my new tank! Shieeeeeeeeeeelds UP!! *The tank is coated with a green pentagonal grid.*

Dimas: O_O .....

Bianca: Amber can you try sensing Edgar?

Amber: What do I look like a human radar?

Bianca: ...

Amber: ...fine. *focuses hard and is able to pick up a massive energy source* I'm picking up a massive energy source. Don't know if it's Edgar, but it's certainly bad news.

Two 50 caliber machine guns emerge from the sides of the bipedal tank and starts firing.

Kiln: *Grabs Dimas and rolls out of the way.*

Edgar: Don't take this so personally, Brainiac. Its only business.

Kiln: Dimas, pay attention. I'll provide cover fire. I can take down those machine guns, but I need you to take the shields down first. Once I destroy the guns, go for his legs. This bad man plans to hurt your parents.

Dimas:....I-I'll do it. Then I can be with my parents.

Kiln: That's the spirit. Now....*Pops up and fires.* GO!!

Amber, Bianca, and Jacob are running towards the massive energy source.

Amber: We're still a bit away.

Bianca: How far?

Amber: Not sure.

Edgar: Irritating little ants....

Dimas: *Slides between the tank's legs and starts tossing black energy disks at the tank's back.*

Kiln: Keep at it! The shield must break eventually! *With a well-placed shot, the bullet opens the energy grid.* Gotcha! *Fires at the exposed machine gun, destroying it.*

Edgar:....Not bad, I guess. But losing one measly machine gun means nothing to me. I'm just getting started! *A hatch opens from the bottom of the "head" of the tank. A large nozzle lowers from it.*

The trio eventually run into a hanger.

Amber: Damn. We must of made a wrong turn.

Bianca: You suck with directions.

Amber: Shut up.

Jacob: We're not going to get anywhere debating. Let's keep moving.

*Kiln.*

Kiln: What the hell? A nozzle...? Dimas, get out of there!!

Dimas: *Bashing away at the shield grid. He hears the tank hum.* !!

The tank kicks Dimas, which sends him crashing into the wall.*

Amber: Yeah.

The group turns around and start running again.
