Amber: Hmm...

Jacob: I'll continue talking to Gerald after he wakes up, but I made certain that he won't die from blood loss...

Berha: *Takes Gerald.* Thank you, Jacob....but I'll talk to him. You've done more than enough. I promise to repay you in anyway-

Jacob: No need to. I'm glad to have helped...

What a sucker. Pah!

Bertha: *Bows her head and takes Gerald away. The village leader follows her.*

Jacob:...

Amber: *looks into the forest before going back into her room*

Jacob: Things are just stacking up, are they....I hate to see what's next....

*Dr.Kiln's lab...*

Dr.Kiln: So, Edgar used the DRM for the third time this week. Hopefully he won't bother me with this project. *The glass tube lights up.* !! What's this...?

The whole underwater base emits a red glow, then a yellow glow. This glow is strong enough to change the lighting of the water outside the base. It then fades...

Amber: *sighs before jumping back in bed* Why do I have a feeling this is going to be a repeat of that tourney?

Jacob: *Standing in front of his house. He looks up at the sky and shakes his head.* There must be someway to get out of this hellhole....I wonder if that DRM has the capability to do so. I'd best make sure no one breaks that thing when the time comes....

Amber: I want to go home...*shakes her head* right...I have no home. I'm a wanderer.

Jacob: *Looks at Amber's house.* I wonder what her home is like...

Amber: *yawns* Better get back to sleep. *gets under her covers*

Jacob: *Sigh.*....Perhaps I can ask her when I get the chance. But not now. *Enters his house.*

*The Next Morning...*

JAcob: *Fully awake and feeding Springs.* I promise you, Springie; we'll find a way back home. Or at least some other place that's better than here.

Springs: Reeeeee.

Jacob: I know I need to see my mother, but there are no guarantees that I'll ever go back. I just have to hope for the best. *PEts Springs and gets up.* I also hope today is a slow day with nothing major happening....I could use a small break.

Amber: *is out in the forest exercising again, but with a serious look on her face* (Something's wrong. I don't know why, but I keep getting this feeling like something bad is about to happen. What could it be?)

*Back in the village head's house...*

Gerald: *Has just explained what happened in greater detail.*

Village Head: .....

Bertha: What are you thinking, sir?

Village Head: Those three have had plenty of action. They need some time to recuperate. But come tomorrow, we might have to head out to Kennebec. Perhaps that is why Edgar is continuing to use the DRM: to conquer Kennebec and declare his total control over Xenu.

Amber: *stops exercising and looks around* ... *closes her eyes and begins to focus on the surrounding area*

Bertha: Sure Kennebec is strong, but to put so much emphasis on one village...?

Village Head: Edgar is a sucker for excessive force. Its good that he takes his time though. It gives us time to get ready.

Amber: ....! *quickly turns and fires a ray of red energy in a random direction destroying what appeared to be a little camera bug* (So we were being watched. Does that mean...?)

Dr.Kiln's lab...

Dr.Kiln: *Watches the screen go all static and eventually fade.* Fuuuuuuuuuu.....mble. There goes my extended research. *Smacks his table in frustration.* Sigh....Oh well. *Takes out his cube.*

Edgar: Anything new?

Dr.Kiln: Yeah, that red-headed girl found out about my camera bug.

Edgar: ...How the FU-*Inhales and exhales*....I thought you said that camera was meant to be undetectable, Brainiac!

Dr.Kiln: Well, excuse me for not having full knowledge on that girls capabilities. I'll send another, but I don't that one will accomplish much.

Edgar: Install something on it, then! Y'know, a cannon, turret, ANYTHING! Just so it can defend itself against that bitchy brat.

Dr.Kiln: Fine, fine. But we both know how well firearms work.

Edgar: Then. Make. It. Explode. Simple. *Cuts communication.*

Dr.Kiln: *Rolls his eyes as he takes out a circular machine with a camera installed.* Even when he and I are in separate buildings, he still manages to be a pain in the ass. Off you go. *The machine flies through the vents, out the base and out of the water.*

Amber: *returns to the village*

Jacob: *Looks up.* Amber?

Amber: We were being watched. *walks past Jacob*

Jacob: *Hearing how serious Amber's voice was, he quickly finishes with feeding Springs.* Son of a...were you attacked? *Follows Amber with Springs close behind.*

Amber: No. I destroyed it.

Jacob: So much for a breather...we have to inform the village head about this.

Amber: Yeah...
