Bianca: Thanks...

Amber: *sighs* I knew bringing him was a bad idea.

Jacob: I'll handle him. He was just overly excited. I'll make sure he mellows down. Right, Springs?

Springs: Reeeee. *Nods.*

Jacob: Good. *Gives everyone a reassuring smile.*

Look at you, trying to play the diplomatic. Let's see how long that lasts.

Amber: ...I got a bad feeling about this.

Village Head: Good, keep that bad feeling. That'll prepare us for anything that will come our way.

Amber: ...

Jacob: *Sighs and walks closer to Amber.* Say, Amber...mind if I ask you a question before we reach Kennebec?

Amber: What is it?

Jacob: *Gulps before asking.* What was your home dimension like?

Amber: ...I can't really describe it.

Jacob: Difficult, I see....can't blame you. Is there at least something or someone of value to you back home?

Heh, how dreadfully dull. What in the world are you plotting?

Amber: Why are you so eager to know?

Jacob: I'm planning something that involves that DRM. Once we defeat Edgar....I want to see if we can somehow reconfigure it so that it will take us to our respective dimensions. Its worth a shot.

Amber: Oh? *smirks* I never thought you had a thing for technology.

Jacob: Well, you learn a thing or two from attending a bunch of clubs in high school. But that isn't nearly enough experience to handle something like the DRM. That means I have to find the scientists that took part in the development.

Village Head: You're quite smart, but you'd be lucky if you can find any of those scientists. They are probably dead by Edgar's hand. They were slaves to him.

Jacob: Perhaps...but I seriously doubt Edgar pulled all of the strings. There is no way, he is just one man. He must've had someone close involved with the DRM's development. If I can find that person and...interrogate him or her, they can tell us all about the DRM and how to modify its functions.

Amber: I seriously doubt he'd make it that easy for us.

*Oh yeah, I totally forgot...happy very belated by four days birthday. XD*

Jacob: We can always make it hard for him.

Village Head: Ah, there! Kennebec is just ahead!

The forest gives way to a very large beach. On the beach is a small city with a wall surrounding it. The entrance is a gate with several guards posted.

Bianca: Not a bad place.

Amber: Makes me want to tan.

Jacob: Hey, that sounds like a good idea. Hopefully we'll get the chance to after our business here is done.

Village Head:...*Approaches the gate.*

Guards: Well, this is a surprise. You're Curien, from that rebel coalition or whatever. Let me guess, you're here to ask Kennebec to become part of the coalition.

Curien: Let us speak with your leader. We suspect that Kennebec will be under siege by Edgar at least tomorrow.

Guards: *They laugh.* Please, our leader knows Edgar would never attack us. What sort of proof could you provide?

Bianca: Veeeeeery cooperative these people are.

Amber: Shhh.

Guard: Do you have something to say, little girl?

Jacob: If you've got the time to make petty taunts, you've got the time to take us to your leader so that we may talk to someone hopefully reasonable.

Guard: Oooh, we've got a badass here. Fine, I'll humour you guys and your lies. Open the gates! I'll be waiting for the leader to throw you guys out.

Bianca: *glares and walks in with Amber*

Jacob: Quite the jackass, that one. I just hope the majority of the people here aren't like him.

Amber: *is cracking her knuckles*

Curien: Hmph, looks like that side of Kennebec installed a night club. How casual of them, considering the condition Xenu is in right now....

Amber: Are we really going to ask these jerks for help?
