An Unwanted Vacation (RP)

Curien: As much as I hate to admit it, they have the superior manpower and equipment. Unfortunately, they choose to be complacent and not acknowledge the real danger that lurks. It's good that we came here before Edgar managed to do anything, or else we may've been looking at a disaster.

Springs: Reeee. *Looking at a window advertising fashion.*

Jacob: Superior? Hard to tell by how frivolous everything here seems to be.

Amber: Agreed. It looks like they don't even care about returning home.

Curien: Well, the majority of Kennebec's population are native to Xenu. But unfortunately, what you say is true. There have been people captured by the DRM that fled here for a "simpler" life. Even those Gaspard have saved before had abandoned my village for this place.

Jacob: That explains his attitude when he found me. Now it makes sense...*Shakes his head in disbelief.* Sooner or later, everyone here will have a wake up call. Either we manage to do it, or Edgar does it.

Amber: Hmph. Morons.

Jacob: Huge morons indeed.

*They reach the small tower where Kennebec's leader resides.*

Curien: We are here to talk to-

Guard: No duh. Go right ahead.

Bianca: Grrr...

Amber: Behave.

Curien quickly takes them to an elevator straight for the top floor. The elevator door opens, which reveals a large office with tile flooring. Several feet away from them is a desk with a tan man staring outside a window.

Curien: Seth, you know its me. Turn around and face me.

Seth: *Inhales a cigar then turns around. He is wearing an eyepatch.*

Amber and Bianca stand firmly.

Amber: *whispered in Bianca's ear* Remember to keep yourself restrained.

Bianca: Only if you do. I could see your hand shaking in anger earlier.

Seth: So!...Curien. I see you brought some friends with you this time. Friends from other dimensions, eh? Judging from how filthy and stressed they look, they could use a vacation.

Amber and Bianca glare at Seth.

Seth: Why not let them stay right here where its safe, Curien? What's the harm in letting them enjoy themselves?

Curien: You know that's not the right thing to do. You know damn well Edgar will come for your head.

Seth: Really? When he and I agreed to not fight? He can do what he wants, as long as my city isn't compromised.

Amber: Figures you care more for your city than what that madman is doing.

Seth: Why should I? He hasn't done anything to me. If does anything to harm my city, THEN we have a huge problem. One of my guards said you have reason to believe that Edgar plans to attack Kennebec to gain total dominance of Xenu. To that I ask, where's the proof?

Amber: *turns to the elder* Wasn't it one of the scouts who confirmed this?

Curien: Yeah....something is not right. *To Seth.* What guard in particular?

Seth: Eh, some newbie. He volunteered, so I gave him the job. Giant of a man, though.

Curien: *Thinks back to Gerald's explaining what happened when he was scouting....* !! Shit!!

*They hear an explosion.*

Amber: !

Bianca: Yeeeeah that figures.

Loud screams are heard throughout Kennebec.

Springs: Reeeee! *Scared by the loud noises.*

Jacob: *Runs to the window behind Seth's desk.*

Amber: Now what was that about not being attacked?

Seth: Impossible....it can't be Edgar, it must be a really daring bandit raid!

Curien: *Scoffs.* Enough of your cowardly excuses! If you won't take action, then I will! *Takes out his large spear. The top of the spear opens, which reveals a muzzle that was underneath the blade. He aims the spear at the window and blasts it with a fire ball.*

Jacob: O_o

Amber: *smirks* Saves me the trouble. *jumps through the window*

Bianca: *rolls her eyes* Always rushes ahead.

Jacob: Right now, rushing seems to be the best course of action to minimize casualties. I would jump but I don't want to leave Springs-

Springs: -_-

Curien: Just go already, he'll be fine. Amber might need the backup. *Slightly chuckles.* You do want to bring her home, do you?

Jacob:....*Without another word, he jumps out the window.*

Amber: *makes a couple of platforms to help break her fall before she lands and starts looking around at the damage*

The previously seen club has been totally destroyed. The corpses of civilians and guards are scattered around the streets. Dark clouds block out the sun light.

Jacob: *Lands on Amber's platform.* Holy hell....

Guards: I can't see him!! Where the hell is he-GUAAAH!! *Suddenly cut in half. As he falls to the ground, his head is torn out.*

Amber: I knew it. It's like what "they" used. *her hands become cocooned in energy*

Jacob: Damn, the sunlight is blocked out...
