An Unwanted Vacation (RP)

Jacob: *Goes to briefly check on Springs.*

Springs: *Resting peacefully in Jacob's room.*

Jacob: *Smiles.* At least you're okay.....*Leaves his house and walks towards Amber's house. He hesitates for a moment before knocking.*

Amber: It's open.

Jacob: *Opens the door.* Hey.

Amber: Yes?

Jacob: I wanted to talk to you...I never got the chance to explain myself for that monsterous chicken form. As well as what just happened today...If you have the time, of course.

Amber: I guess.

Jacob: To keep it simple, there's....a part of me that just won't go away. *Sits on a chair.* He appeared recently, about two days prior to being sucked up by that Rift. Basically...he seeks to rob me of my consciousness so that he may live life the way he sees fit. To use his powers for himself and to care only for himself. No regards to anyone, no attachments. The problem is...I've been down that road. The only thing I've gotten was this...

Jacob shows his scar on his chest. The veins around it are bulging.

Jacob:....but you actually saved me when you punched me in that Chicken form. Had you not been there, I would not be standing here, talking to you. But now, "he" wants to kill you.

Amber: Okay...

JAcob: I know it's quite redundant to tell you this when I've only known you for a short period of time....but I still owed you an explanation. Now the biggest thing I'm worried about is my problem becoming yours as well. I'm sorry about that...

Amber: What problem? So you turn into a giant chicken. Big whoop. I'm not worried or scared about your "other half." If I can kick your butt easily than your "friend" can't do any better.

Jacob: I'm not so sure...again, I just wanted to explain myself and apologize.

Amber: It's fine. I know where you're coming from.

Jacob: ! *Stares at Amber.* You....do?

Amber: Yeah, but that's all I'm going to say. Now if you don't mind I'd like to get some sleep.

Jacob: Of course...see you later. Thanks for taking the time to hear me out. *Leaves.*

Amber: Later. *goes to sleep*

Jacob:...*Smiles.* That wasn't too bad...

Pathetic. Truly pathetic. Do you seek some type of comfort from her? She feels absolutely nothing, so don't fool yourself. There is no hope for you. Just give up and live life the way you really want to. You have allllll the freedom here. I'll do you the favour of getting back at that little harlot-

Jacob: *DRIVES his finger into his scar and grunts in pain.*

Guuuaaaagh!! You....masochistic little punk....*The voice fades.*

Jacob: Didn't think that would work....now I think I can finally sleep too.

Amber: *starts thinking about HER other half before going to sleep*

Jacob: *Already asleep on  his bed and snoring lightly.*

Bianca: *eyes Jacob's house before entering her own*

Gerald: *Has just finished unpacking t he supplies with Bertha and his units.*.....

Bertha: What's the matter, Gerald? Something wrong?

Gerald: I dunno...I have this gut feeling that our operations have been....too easy. Like this is all just leading to something big, but I haven't a clue on what that may be.

Bertha: We have three powerful fighters on our side, Gerald. We can take on anything. Even Edgar.

Gerald: That reminds me....*Looks at the night sky.* It's about that time....I'm going to round up a team to scout the area when he fires off the DRM. *Walks off.*

Bertha:....

Amber: *is snoozing peacefully*

Edgar's fortified mansion...

Edgar: I don't know what the hell brainiac is doing, but I don't care. I need to engage in my business affairs. *The soldiers surround the DRM as Edgar presses the button. The beam shoots up into the sky.*

Amber: *immediately wakes up with a headache* Ugh...what the...this energy surge...

Edgar: Heheheheh....*Checks his timer.* About two more minutes and it'll be back....*Turns on the upbeat music again.*
