An Unwanted Vacation (RP)

Amber: Crap...*the acid hits the barrier and starts to melt it with Amber struggling to keep it up* (I'm still worn out from my fight with Ryofu. I can't keep this up for long).

Bianca: We need to do something and fast.

Amber: Think you can slash the flies?

Bianca: I don't know. There's quite a few of them.

Amber: Then go Stage 2 or something!

Bianca: Tch...fine. *closes her eyes and gets on her fours* Stage 2. *an explosion of purple energy erupts from her body* As her claws reappear black, flame-like markings start to make their way up her arms and spread all over her body*

Woman: *Yells out as maggots start to rip through her legs. They slither towards Bianca.*

Bianca: *opens her eyes to reveal that her pupils became silted; she lets out a loud roar that sends the maggots and flies away* Put down the barrier.

Amber: Yeah...*she quickly lets down the barrier and immediately Bianca dashes out while a purple "shell" of energy starts forming around her body creating the shape of a creature of sorts*

Bianca: *quickly slashes at the woman which causes her to split into three parts*

Woman: ......*Maggots emerge from the areas where she was slashed. They merge together, putting the woman back together.* Urrrrrk.....help me.....I can't live like this anymore....

Amber: Did she just...talk?

Bianca: ...I get it. *the aura around her intensifies*

Amber: What are you doing?

Bianca: Putting her out of her misery.

Woman: Please....do that for me....

*The flies suddenly act more aggressive. They start to upchuck their acidic vomit at Bianca.*

Bianca: *quickly moves out of the way of the acid and appears at the side of the flies. she then slices them leaving a trail of fire in their wake causing all the flies in the slashe's range to burn to a crisp*

Woman: Fire...perfect......uuurrrrrkkk...*Walks closer to Bianca.*

Bianca: ...*slashes the woman with her claws causing her to ignite flames*

Woman: *Lets out a scream of pain. The flies around her are burnt to a crisp. She drops to her knees and stares at Bianca one last time.* Thank.....you.....*Collapses on the floor and her body continues to burn.*

Bianca: You're welcome. *reverts out of Stage 2*

The room where the woman came from is suddenly illuminated with light.

Amber: Looks like she was guarding the place.

Bianca: Yeah...*breathes heavily*

Amber: You okay?

Bianca: Yeah...just need to catch my breath. Stage 2 takes a lot out of me remember?

Amber: Sorry. I would have handled it if I wasn't so drained.

Bianca: It's cool. Anyway, let's move on.

They enter the woman's room. Its a dead end, but they come across a book on a small table.

Amber: *picks up the book and dusts it off* It's old. Hopefully it's still readable.

Amber opens it up and reads the first entry.

"I can't believe it...thanks to the DRM, a strange artifact landed near my base. It'll be a good idea to give them to my girlfriend...anything to make her oblivious to my experiments. Then again, I want to look into this artifact and see if it has some purpose, or if its just some frivolous crap."

Next entry.

"After looking into this artifact, I've found out there is something special about this. It seems that when I'm next to it when I sleep, I wake up with a strange sensation. Helena mentioned she experienced something strange too, but she supposedly saw me in her sleep. Whether the artifact had a hand in this, or if Helena was just dreaming, is unknown at this time.

Next entry....

"Helena is starting to get suspicious of me talking to Edgar...I keep trying to reassure her that it is just business, but she keep demanding to speak to him. If Edgar catches wind of her suspicious nature, it'll spell doom..."

Next entry...

"That bastard found out.....he captured Helena when I was busy with my experiments! He delivered her to me, but she wasn't even recognizable! All rotten...and acting like a bug.....she is too far gone, but I can't kill her....I'll place her in our old bedroom where its safe for her.....That bastard Edgar thinks he can be sick? I'll show him how sick Kiln can really be!!"

Book ends.

Amber: Looks like a journal...and that woman you killed was someone's lover. Someone by the name of "Kiln."

Bianca: Hmm...wonder who he is?

Amber: He could possibly be the one who created that thing that killed Seth. Just a hunch though.

Amber turns the book and finds a key card.

Amber: A card key?

Bianca: Wonder what it goes to?

Amber: *removes it from the book and examines it*

They leave the bedroom and find a metal door adjacent to the bedroom. Next to it is a slot with a bright red light and a dim green light.

Amber: I wonder...*fits the card key into the slot*

The red light goes dim, whilst the green light brightens. The door opens up, which reveals a new hallway. Compared to the rest of the base, it is much cleaner.

Amber and Bianca look at each other and nod before entering the hallway.

Bianca turns her head and looks  through a window. She discovers a circular room at a lower floor with a group of Edgar's men. They are looking around in confusion.*

Bianca: Ah crap...

Amber: What?

Bianca: We're not alone...
